What’s the easiest, fastest way to clean out make-up brushes without water?
When applying make-up what’s the best way to clean out the brush before changing to another color (mainly for eyeshadows)? Preferably without getting it wet, etc. as that takes time to let it dry and I don’t have time for that in the mornings, and I don’t want to buy a different brush for each color. I change my color combinations depending on what I’m wearing so that wouldn’t work anyways. Thanks!
Not necessarily completely clean out, just get it clean enough that it’s not going to leave a residue of the previous color

Cornstarch! Shake a little on your brushes, rub them against each other or with a toothbrush and you’re all better.
There is no other way to clean makeup brushes without water.
Have you tried Q-tips?
Shake the brush out and apply the next color if you can’t get it wet.
i clean my face using nevea cream w/o water and it will make your face mosturized.. when you wake up in the morning you will feel it just use it every time you feel hagard.. you dont need water to wash your face just remove the cream using cotton or smooth soft tissue.. yo ufriends will be amazed that they will try it too.. goodluck..
um comb ur brush
Take a kleenex tissue with lotion in it (not on it, already in it) and wipe it from side to side, front and back sides, until there is no color left on it. It will leave less of the old color on the brush. Also, if you use the same brush all of the time, you will want to go ahead and wash it at least once a week to prevent clumbing in the brush and bacteria forming in the brush, too. The last thing you want is an infection in your eye!
Hope this helps!
the easiest way is to get a spray bottle of make-up brush cleaner- you can usually find this in a beauty supply store- and just spray your brush after each use and wipe it with a tissue. If you can’t locate/ afford brush cleaner- u can use alcohol- just put it in a form of spray bottle and spray the brush. This will also sanatize the brush from festering bacteria.:)
THERE IS A WAY TO CLEAN AND STERRILISE MAKE-UP BRUSHES WITHOUT WATER WHICH DRIES INSTANTLY ASWELL ITS CALLED SOLVO 4000 AND YOU CAN BUY THIS FROM SCREENFACE.COM FOR ABOU £8-9, I USE THIS FOR MINE AT COLLEGE, good investment!!!
HOPE THIS ANSWERS YOUR QUESTION!!!
the best and affordable way is to use alcohol and take a paper towel and rub the brush against it and you ll see the make up come off the brush instantly. take a spray bottle and fill it with the alcohol, keep spraying and wiping till all the make up is off the brush and let the brush set aside till its dry. if you dont want it wet wet, just spray and wipe enough so you can change the color. this way your brush will be clean and sterile– it will also minimize any breakout. or yea, there is a product at any make up counter also.
You can have a terry cloth to swipe brushes between changes of colors. Anyway, you need to wash your brushes on a regular basis ’cause they start to getting oily.. use baby shampoo, warm water and let em air dry laying on a towel.. dont forget to do so evry 3 weeks at least, and store them properly so you dont add the dust to the natural oils and make up factors.
I don’t have that answer but I have a tip. My mom was a makeup artist and she learned not to reuse the brushes and stuff like that. Use qtips instead or cotton swabs and then when you are done immediately throw it away. If you use a brush it will probably give you acne!!!
Just wipe it back and forth on a dry washcloth (probably a dark one or one you don’t care if it may stain). The pigment will loosen from the “hair” on the brushes…..will only work If you’re using real brushes not those cheesy applicators that come with the Cover girl stuff.
Blow some air on it will work a bit too.
I blow really hard on mine, then dip them in loose facial powder, blow again and change colors. Works pretty well. My colors never come out looking “muddy.”
