im blonde and have blue eyes.im starting to get more into makeup and all that and im having trouble picking the right style if u will.especially with the eye area.im not sure whats going to look best and wat color to use and how to apply it.there r so many ways it is hard to find the right one!!

OK, so I have been wearing make-up, like forever, but same as a lot of women I change my mascara every 3 months (like your meant too), and every time try a different or “new” one, but just how are you meant to apply it ?, over the years i have heard so many different ways, from wiggling the brush to the tip, to stopping when your nearly at the end of your lashes and waiting a few sec’s, from only one coat, or both sides, too quickly re-coating??? I am quite lucky, i have long slightly curled black lashes any way, but i love the very black “false lash” look and would love to have head turning lashes! any tips would be great as well as any good mascaras to try!

Hello, I am trying to figure out how to buy good quality makeup brushes that won’t fall apart and will leave a flawless finish on my make up. How do I choose the right brush? Is there a trick to know quality vs. crap? Also, I want natural brushes, not synthetic. Is Goat hair better than Sable? What’s the best hair to use? Thank you for putting up with all my questions!

I am a 12 1/2 year old girl. I want to know how to apply make up the right way…also my skin is fair I have blue eyes and I am a brunette. I want to know what make up colors are best for me. And how to apply them. I want to look hott but not in a wild way. Please help me.

My makeup ends up looking like a thick layer with powder over it, very fake and unattractive. This is how I apply it:

1. wash face and dry
2. apply moisturizer (otherwise my face is too dry)
3. Apply liquid foundation
4. Apply powder over to give mat look and not be too shiny, to help makeup stay in place

It just looks awful and I can’t figure out where I’m going wrong. Any advice?
awesome tips!! I really thought it must be my skin, but I love the tips y’all are giving me. a) I will mix makeup w/ moisturizer to thin it down b) will use loose powder applied with brush c) use translucent color d) use oil blotter to remove excess oil (instead of applying more powder) thanks!!

I use a new acne product, and it is to be used in the evening and morning. I attend school in the morning though – so I have to wash my face then apply makeup not long after. Since I have a lot of pimples usually, I have to use foundation/powder. Is this bad for my skin to apply makeup right after washing?
