How do I fix my oily make-up brushes?
I just bought my first “nice” brush set about a week ago. I have never really cleaned my brushes before since they were so cheap, and not worth the effort. I decided that my “nice” brushes needed to be cleaned yesterday, so I looked it up on Youtube. The first video that popped up was Michelle Phan’s video. The comments on her technique all seamed very positive, so I decided to give it a try.
Yesterday I washed them exactly how she did in the video, and when I went to go use the brushes today (I expected they would be try after a night of air-drying) they were all oily and gross!
I have tried rinsing it out with water and just soap, and the oily mess still remains! I spent months saving up for these brushes and I HAVE to get them un-oily before school starts (end of August) I have heard that the best way to clean my brushes is with the normal shampoo that I use for my hair, is that true? Has this oily mess happened to anyone else? How did you fix it?
Please help!!!
I think I may have added too much olive oil to the mixture…
I just need to know how to fix this!
I am almost in tears this is upsetting me so much! I worked really hard to get enough money to get these brushes. I just need them to be fixed!

How To Combat Oily Skin With Makeup and Skin Care
www.TheCosmeticsCampus.com – Internet Cosmetics Coach, Lisa Liddiard teaches you three tricks that will combat oily skin and keep your mineral makeup on through out the day. This is a video response to a question from Gina who uses mineral makeup, but has oily skin and during the day, most of the makeup on her forehead and nose is gone. She wants to know what can be done to fix the problem. Here are 3 solutions. You can try all 3, or try one and see if it fixes the problem. 1. Use a skin care system that leaves a matte finish and pushes down oily skin. You won’t need an acne line, just a line that controls oily skin. This will help your makeup stay on all day and leave your skin matte without giving extra shine that causes your makeup to slide off your face during the day. Take your mineral powder foundation or your mineral finishing powder and apply more at the middle of the day to get you through the remaining part. It’s easy to drop it in your purse and do a light touch up to keep your foundation on all day. 3. One of my favorite products is called a “Mattifying Face Powder”. This is a light green face powder that is translucent. You can’t see the green, but it will cancel’s out any redness. It can be used under and over your foundation. Easy to take with you to work and the best part is, it’s made to absorb …
