I have a big brush for powder and a smaller one for blush, I have had them for about 4 years. I do wash them occasionally to keep them clean. I have to admit though I am lazy and don’t wash them as much as I should.
I bought new ones today.
But I still wondered about this.
How about you?

That is my concealer brush, foundation brush, powder and blush brushes.

I clean them once a week with shampoo as the cosmetic consultant suggested but I know that they should be all together replaced at some point.

I’m new to all this make up stuff

I would like to clean them as often as possible b/c I’m getting grossed out and breaking out please help!!! =) Thanks

I don’t wear makeup very often, and I noticed the last time I did that my eyes were itchy and bloodshot for days afterward. I’ve heard that eye shadow can get moldy so I’m wondering how long it lasts.

I’ve read/heard several times now that you need to get rid of eye makeup (liner, shadow, etc.) every six months. Since some of it is so expensive, I can’t help wondering if this is a scheme to get us to buy more. So, how often do you need to buy new stuff if you don’t run out of it?

I’m starting a collection of M.A.C make-up brushes and I got 6 new ones and the belt-bag thing for Christmas. I also got the brush cleanser. I have used the brushes 4 or 5 times since I got them and I was wondering how often I should wash them?

Toothbrushes should be changed out every three weeks, but should make-up brushes follow the same guidelines?

I hardly ever were make up, but I do have it. I use a make up a mineral make up. I have mostly natural hair brushes exect my blush brush is synthetic. How often should I clean them? I know how clean the natural, but how would I clean the synthetic?

I just met someone who washes hers every night with shampoo. I only wash mine every couple of weeks. I don’t wear make up everyday and I have a lot of brushes….but every day!? wow.

Just wondering how often, you all wash yours? Do you use special brush cleaner or just shampoo?
