my little sister freaks out whenever i try to put eyeliner on her and she’s in a musical for her school this year so she has to have it on, any tips?

I’m wanting to get brushes for my eye make up instead of using the spongy things that come with the shadows that you buy. But i noticed the brushes come in different sizes. how do you know what size to get? i don’t really want to mess up on size. i will choose best answer!
