Can anybody give me some tips?

I want my make-up to look flawless, who doesn’t. But everytime I apply my make-up I find myself looking in the mirror with a face of discontentment. It never looks right. I’ve tried nearly every brand of cosmetics there is and my foundation still looks like crap. Can anybody recommend some useful tips for me. I’m looking for a foundation with very good coverage (I have really bad skin), and not too expensive either as I am on a low budget due to the recession. Also tell me if there are any specific make-up brushes I could use.
Please will you help me as I have a graduation ball coming up and I want to look my very best for my boyfriend.

I need a good set of brushes so i can do my make-up right and make it look great for everyday look i learn from beautyart.com.ua and i try the puprle and black look but it does’nt work because i dont have the right tools please help me.
