    @MaishouaHEARTu well i’m only half asain. My dad has “normal” eyes and my mom has monolids. And i just happen to get her asain eyes. So it really depends…

  • dangerzone says:

    I don’t think there’s anything offensive with the term “Asian Eyes” when used with good intentions. Thanks for posting this!

  • MaishouaHEARTu says:

    no i don’t think that is a stereotype. im an asian and i do agree that asian have small eyes. but they use black eyeliner to cover it up. if u see them without makeup then u’ll know they have small eyes. most asian who have big eyes either were born lucky or their parents are of a different race.

    I think it’d be really hard for people with monolids to “round out” their eyes. Their lids go in too deep, so there’s no room for a eyeball highlighter (??) I think this tutorial would be a lot more helpful if you did it to someone who has monolids.

    tremendous pointers – thanks 4 sharin, have any of you used Sally Hansens latest line of products? it is not easy to find makeup in Altoona but i managed to recieve some wonderful samples by going to “Gratis-Makeup-Samples”, they’re ace.

    @vangsta007devil EXACTLY!!!!!!!!!

  • ingrid3578 says:

    errr she should’ve done this look on someone with monolids……. this tutorial doesn’t help people with monolids at all!

  • janypany says:

    I have a monolid and I just simply “fake a crease” or apply makeup just like double lidded eyes would. It looks fine to me :D

I love doing my make up and my friends i actually use your videos to teach me and NOT ONCE has anyone NOT complimentded how i do my make up! I went to Dillards and they thought I was a Payed profesional!!! thanks sooo much! You are awesomeeee!!!!

    @xsportzgurlx3

    It can actually work for monolids, you’ll just have to bring the color up higher so it’s more visible ;]

  • 4EVERKONE says:

    @magicalgal99 have u try on using eyelid tape? it will help too..depend on how monolid ur eye is..

  • WoohooILoveDolphins says:

    Love your tutorials but yeah- the asian lid stereotype thing again – a tad disappointing.. and umm.. you cant really do a monolid makeup tutorial with your huge double lids. Cause it would look completely different.. and yeah.. you just cant lol

  • ColorMeBilly says:

    wow ignore all the haters! i love all ur tutorials!

  • luvmyasianman says:

    I’ll ignore the “monolid = asian” stereotype you imply, because there have already been enough comments written about that, & I’m sure you’re probably embarrassed with your tail between your legs right now. The item I do want to bring attention to, is the fact that it would help a tremendous amount if you were actually applying the makeup to a person with monolid eyes. YOU DO NOT have monolid eyes. Assuming monolid makeup techniques is totally different from actually having them like we do.

  • LittleMissWhimsical says:

    I have monolids, and honestly the easiest technique is a lighter color on the inner half with a deeper color on the outer half.

  • solacevy says:

    Yeah, not all Asians are monolids. India is part of Asia too, so as the Malays, the Malays are not well known as monolids. So, Asian eyes term doesn’t describe monolids.

  • suzy2009ful says:

    plz help because i’m Asian and i have got single eye lid and i can not use any eye shadow because my sensitive skin. can u give me some idea?xox

  • vangsta007devil says:

    dont mean to be rude or anything but i really think you have to have monolids or just a little crease to understand how hard it is too pull off that look ur luck you have a big crease and most makeup look would look go on you

  • Lani808Lei says:

    @AztekGoddess1 you could apply your eyeliner under the base of your eyelashes, rather than lining above your eyelashes.

  • Lani808Lei says:

    @ViviannNina , you made a valid point. Infact, my eyes are slanted, but I have almond shaped eyes. My sister on the other hand has monolid. She obviously did not mean to be racial bias, by her remark. Not everyone will be “politically correct”. It’s best not to read too much into her comment and focus more on the make-up tip. She seems genuine… and most asians do have monolids. Not all, but “most”. Her technique is nice, but I don’t think it is a good style to use for monolids.

  • WoohooILoveDolphins says:

    @isoblah
    THANK YOU for your comment .
    I’m asian with double eyelids and its so annoying when people make generalizing comments- even when they dont mean to offend…

  • AztekGoddess1 says:

    ok, ive looked at the small eyes video and now this… My problem is that .when i but eyeliner on the top of the hooded lid it smears up to my crease line. always!
