The foundation brush is for apply liquid foundation & the powder brush is for apply powder either by itself or on top of the foundation you are already wearing, because it sets your makeup.

But by all means, do what you want with your makeup/brushes... there is no "wrong" way!

well, if you have a liquid foundation, it will look best putting pressed powder over it, it'll make it look more matte, and will reduce the look of foundation lines
now with mineral foundation is a little less work, i dont think you will really need a pressed powder for a mineral foundation as it kind of is a foundation and a pressed powder, all rolled into one : )
yes so i would stick with the mineral foundation for now ( :
it's best to go for the simpler option if you have just started to get interested in make-up

hope i helped (:

If you have a powder foundation use the powder brush. Powder foundation is best for light to med. coverage which would be best for you since you might be a little young. If you use liquid and powder foundations together they give you a much older look since most older (25+) women use. Unless the older look is what you are going for.

One thing for certain always use the right brush to apply your make up. As you saw it can make a big difference.

Hope I Could Help

Usually if you use a liquid foundation, you apply a powder over it. With a powder foundation (which is what I use), you really don't need to unless you would like to apply a finishing powder or something over it. The Kabuki brush is a great brush for powder foundation.
