How do i wash my make up brushes?

I want to wash my concealer and foundation brushes because I think they are becoming oily with all the make up. It did tell you how to on both packets but I didn’t take much notice. I think they still have some use in them so any help please?

Rinse them in water for a little bit. If not a lot of it is coming off, use regular hand soap. You can also take a blow dryer, and try to dry them. OR let them air dry. It’s really not a big deal.:) Hope this helped.

um just run water over them and put soap in them just like your hair and rinse.

Baby shampoo or gentle shampoo in general..

Or dish detergent and extra virgin olive oil..

There are two ways to clean your brushes- Spot cleaning and Deep cleaning.

I recommend spot cleaning your brushes often so there’s not buildup on your brushes. I do this about once or twice a week.

To spot clean, all you have to use is either a brush cleaner (you can find one at Mac Cosmetics) or baby shampoo (because it’s more gentle than regular shampoo). I spot clean by taking a rag and wetting it with water. Then, I pour a small amount of baby shampoo to the corner of the rag. Take your brush and dip it in the baby shampoo, then move the brush back and forth in the damp rag until clean. Allow time for this to dry, though it shouldn’t take too long.

I definitely suggest deep cleaning your foundation brushes, and regular brushes if you haven’t yet. I do this once a month! To deep clean, pour olive oil and anti bacterial dish soap on a plate. Take your brush and move it back and forth in the olive oil, and in the dish soap a few times. You will be able to see all of the excess makeup coming off! Next, take your brush and run it under warm water in the sink. Move the bristles with your fingers to make sure all of the soap and olive oil has been removed. The dish soap ensures all the bacteria is off of your brushes, and the olive oil conditions the brushes, so your not removing all of the bristles natural oils! I got this tip from Michelle Phan from youtube.

Remember to store your brushes upside down, so the water won’t seep into the handle and loosen the bristles, which causes them to fall out!
