I bought this thinking it would be a great way to try out color and work it into costume makeup I already own. Absolutely the worst stuff I’ve experienced. It’s like those cheapy Christmas make-up sets you get. The eyeshadows are crumbly and don’t go on consistently the same color or have the same coverage. The pots of eyeshadow are maybe the size of a dime? The whole case is 9″ x 6.5″ – so it’s definately small. There are other brands out there that sell better eyeshadow quality for inexpensive prices. This was a waste! Seriously disappointed! I hope this thing can go back!

I saw a TON of raving reviews about the 88 shimmer palette on you tube so I was really excited to finally get mine in the mail. When I opened it the colors looked very pretty and there are so many colors to choose from. Each eyeshadow is about a dime size. I was disappointed though once I actually used it. Many of the colors seem to go on very powdery and not smooth. The colors, while very pigmented, were not very blendable in my opinion. They did not blend easily like other brands (such as L’oreal HIP which is what I normally use). I have heard many people compare this palette’s colors to MAC. Maybe the shades of color are very similar but as far as quality is concerned you get what you pay for. Maybe this might work better if I tried using a primer first, but I feel a primer should be optional not necessary. So if you are just starting your makeup collection and want to practice different looks or are on a very tight budget then this might be really good for you. If you are used to using other products like MAC, Urban Decay, etc then I would pass on this one. Another BETTER yet affordable option are L’oreal HIP eyeshadow duos. They are amazingly pigmented and go on great.

i love the color selection, really awesome choices. The colors really do have a fantastic shimmer to them, i find that the lighter colors are just great for adding that extra highlight.
Pigments are really great, i am very surprised. Great deal for the money!
I gave 4 stars because the only complaint i have is the eyeshadows are a bit powdery.

I’ve been eyeing this palette for many* months now. Finally, I ordered two 88 shimmer palettes (one for me & one for my friend as a birthday gift). I ordered them late Wednesday night & got them today (I chose two day shipping- Amazon Prime).
Anywho, I haven’t used the palette yet, but I tried a few of the colors on my hand & I must say, I can NOT wait* to use these marvelous shades! There is a great assortment of colors that I’ve never worn before, including some nice iridescent colors.
When I usually wear my eyeshadow, I use Ulta’s eyeshadow base & my own eyeshadow brushes. I will definitely combine some of these colors together & try new styles. Here I come Spring!!

i love it!….the shadows are super pigmented, and blend okay( you have to use a good quality brush to get them to blend)….they’re a steal at under $20!…
i wouldnt say they are mac quality(oh! come on, mac is mac)…but they are a great option for anyone on a budget and anyone who wants the option of owning several colors without having to shell out 15-20 bucks per shade!
the eyeshadow case is sleek and fits easily into a bag…the eyeshadows are each the size of a dime, but im guessing they’ll last quite long…
they go on super shimmery and look wow!!…some of the highlight shades are actually double tinted…those are my favorite…awesome stuff!
totally worth the money…. and women of all colors can find something that looks good on them, a nice variety of colors and a great price…GET ONE, NOW!
