I’d suggest trying a slightly darker, plummy kind of red on your lips as opposed to the bright red Dita von Teese tends to use or the black people expect goth girls to wear. It looks a little bit classy and works as part of a goth look as well as other styles.

You could also try the traditional smoky eye but with purple or dark green. Purple is nicer than black, and it’s a lot more unusual. Try other dark colours, see what you like.

Something else that might work with a gothic look could be a pale nude lip colour- you know that really 60s look where you need to put foundation/concealer over your lips to make them pale? Try it out, see how it looks.
